A fragrance by Bassam Issa Al-Sabah
Specially commissioned fragrance by Bassam Issa Al-Sabah, produced as part of a limited edition of 40 by the artist in Summer 2024. The fragrance is accompanied by a diptych of printed images, featuring the title of the project and the script from the moving image work featured in the exhibition.
Fragrance composition:
Vetiver (Vetiveria Zizanioides) pure essential oil, Pink Pepper (Schinus Terebinthifolia) pure CO2 extract, Frankincense (Boswellia Carterii) pure essential oil, Neroli (Citrus Aurantium) pure essential oil 20% in Jojoba oil, Rose (Rosa Damascena) pure absolute 20% in Jojoba oil, Peppermint (Mentha x Piperita) pure essential oil, carried in organic cold pressed Jojoba oil (Simmondsia Chinensis)
Description:
This is an edition of forty 5ml vials of fragrance, the essential oil ingredients for which were selected and blended by Bassam Issa Al-Sabah following a scent- making workshop by Kaethe Burt O’Dea as part of a short residency at Cow House Studios in Summer 2024. Oils were sourced at The Nature of Things, a natural oils retailer in Dublin, Ireland. This fragrance is for external use only. Stop using if a reaction is experienced. Store in a cool environment.
Proceeds from sales are split with 75% going directly to the artist and 25% to Palestine Red Crescent Society.
