Kunstverein Aughrim
In 2022 Kunstverein Aughrim commissioned Isadora Epstein to devise and realise a new performance work.
MAGPIE premiered as part of Kunstverein Aughrim’s launch on 9 October 2022 at the Forresters’ Hall in Aughrim. Performed by Epstein (as Magpie) and Cillian Byrne (as Pigeon), with stage paintings by Kathy Tynan, costumes by Amie Egan, and production by Millie Egan and Christina Simmerer.
An adaptation of this work, featuring Stéphane Béna Hanly (as Worm) was re-performed at Mermaid Arts Centre on 2 November 2022, as part of Kunstverein Aughrim’s Trunk Show.
